Slaying on a Budget!

This past weekend was my birthday weekend and babe and I had a little staycation at a casino hotel. Well I wanted to “Slay” and wear a few new items since I don’t go out much. I am pretty cheap when it comes to shopping for myself heck the most I’ve spent on a purse is $30, so I definitely think you can slay on a budget. So with that being said, how much do you think I paid for this outfit? $40 $50? Nope! I spent $19.99 for this outfit at my local beauty supply! LOL It’s a two piece set. I think I did pretty darn good!

Also my hair? I have Freetress crochet box braids and individuals that I did myself in the front. It usually cost me $180 to get box braids in the shop, but this time around it cost me $60.

I don’t know if you can see my nails or not in the picture but to see a closer look head over to instagram to get a better look. They cost me $8. Yes you saw that right! 

Doing this myself gave me extra money to play on them slots lol.

What Do You Look Forward To Every Week?

Every week I look forward to the weekends. I love the weekend because it’s my way of regenerating from a busy week. During the week the kids have school and babe has work. When everyone gets home from school they have homework and babe has had a long day.

     I look forward to the weekend because we can have family time, which usually includes watching movies, or playing games. Also I love when my kids are home because I know where they are and what’s going on with them. With what’s going on in the world now I honestly feel better when my kids are at home with me. At home I can see what there doing and I KNOW they are safe. I have seriously been considering home school. 

  Once I take care of my previous giveaway on my Youtube channel, I will be doing a giveaway here on my blog. Please stay tuned for that.

10 Tips For Flying With a Toddler

Have you booked a trip for you and your family and you have never flown with a little one, but you are wondering how to prepare for the flight?

Well here are 10 tips that have been extremely helpful to me for traveling with my two year old. I also filmed a video on my Youtube channel about this as well if you would like to check that out. It’s down below.

Tip # 1: Bring Toys. I always try to bring toys that don’t make a lot of noise, so I always take a few small stuff animals.

#2: Bring a sippy cup or a bottle if you are not nursing. Babies and children don’t know how to stop their ears from hurting during takeoff and landing. Drinking during takeoff and landing helps unclog the pressure in their ears. I’m still breastfeeding so whenever I saw that my daughter’s ears were bothering her, I let her nurse and it really helped. 

#3: If you can try to book early morning flights, that way your little one will sleep through the flight.  Back in March I flew to Florida with the kids and we were up at 4:30 am for a 7 am flight. Within like 20 minutes of the flight they all fell asleep and they all literally woke up right before landing.

It was great because it gave me time to myself to catch up on reading and watch my ipad. 

#4: Dress your child in layers. No one can predict what the temperature on the plane will be. So I always dress my little one in layers and bring a jacket for her. If it is too cold she can put that on or if it is too cold she can take it off. 

#5: Bring a coloring book and ipad or tablet. This is so helpful because when your child is awake they can be occupied with something to do. This made my child want to stay seated when the seat belt sign was on. 

#6: Bring Snacks

Yo! This! Bringing snacks is so helpful, not to mention a $$ saver! I always bring chips, something a little sweet, and lollipops. The snacks and food on the plane are not cheap. Heck I’m cheap! LOL So any way I can save money I will do it. 

#7: Bring Extra Bags

Now when I say that I don’t mean big bags. I’m talking about the little ziploc bags. You can put trash or pampers or you can even use them in case your little one gets sick. I didn’t need to use them on any of my flights but it’s better to be safe than sorry. 

#8: Bring a Good Bag

I got a really nice diaper bag off Amazon.com. It has many pockets for storage and it even had a waterproof compartment as well. I got it because I wanted something with a lot of space for traveling. 

#9: Bring Sanitizer

Nobody likes germs. I’m pretty sure those planes are full of them. So I always bring hand sanitizer and sanitizer wipes. I’m not sure how often they clean the planes or disinfect them, but if you notice when you land, there are many people waiting to board that same plane for a different flight. Now how and when do they clean in that short amount of time?

#10: Last but not least a blanket and a pillow comes in handy when your child takes a nap. Once I forgot to bring a pillow so I balled up my jacket so my little one could lay on that. It wasn’t the same but it was very useful.

Sheraton Vistana Resort Villa

Was here in March and stayed in a two bedroom villa. It’s so family friendly so I chose to come back for a mother daughter trip. I called about two weeks before departure to request a balcony. (ALL ONE BEDROOM SUITES DO NOT COME WITH BALCONIES) I was told they could see what they could do but it would not be guaranteed. We arrived around 8:30 pm and I was disappointed to learn that we would not get a balcony. So I called and asked they next day could I switch and they accommodated me. I was super excited about this! 

The villa we stayed in was a little bigger than the one bedroom without the balcony. I loved this. Don’t think I would have enjoyed the other room as it was  much smaller.  Last time my bathroom didn’t get as clean as I liked it to be so I stopped by the local Walmart, bought my own cleaning supplies, and cleaned the bathroom. We stayed on the Cascades side this time and was super close to the pool. One part was only 1 feet with sprinklers, that was really fun for my two year old. 

 My favorite restaurant was the Tiki Bar and grill which I couldn’t seem to find this time so I just ordered it to be delivered to my villa. The Castaways restaurant was good and so was Zimmies. Breakfast, just like last time was not good so we only ate here one day and other places other days. So if you want good food for breakfast go outside the hotel.

I would stay here again because it’s so kid friendly and close to everything. They also tried to get me to sign up for the timeshare again which  I politely said no to. You can purchase your tickets to the parks at the main office which is very convenient. 

AliExpress Clothing Review

So I wanted to see what the deal was with clothing from AliExpress. I have purchased hair from them before and was pretty please with the hair. 

I purchased from a company called Liooil and from Bonnie Forrest. The shipping for the body suit I got from Bonnie Forrest took about 2 weeks and 3 weeks from Liooil. I never got notifications on anything. Not when it shipped or when it was delivered. I literally had to check the mailbox every other day or log into the website to see what was going on. 

One of the dresses I got the thread started coming loose. I got every item super cheap, so I wasn’t expecting much. To see the full review head on over to my Youtube channel.
