Do you have small children? Are you wondering if Disneyland or Disneyworld would be the better choice? Find out why I think Disneyland is the perfect trip for you if you have small kids.
I went to Disneyland for the first time when my kids were six, three, and two. I went back a second time when they were eight, six, and four. The first trip we stayed at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and spa and the second we stayed at Disney Paradise Pier. Both of the hotels are Disney resorts which are very convenient because they are both within walking distance of the parks. There is also another hotel, which is the Disneyland Hotel, that makes the total 3. There are also good neighbor hotels located nearby.
Staying at the actual Disney Hotel was so convenient for me. This was perfect for us because we didn’t have to hop in a car to drive to the parks.
Upon our arrival the kids were given balloons while I checked in. For the trip where we stayed at Paradise Pier we stayed in a suite that had one bathroom, a half bathroom, a living room area with a pull out couch, and two queen beds.
I forgot my stroller at home so the parks have it so you can rent them.
They also have a character breakfast at each hotel so you can meet a Disney character while you eat. It was all so great!
Downtown Disney is also in walking distance as well. There are different shops, restaurants and activities here.
One of the restaurants we really like was The Rainforest Cafe. This restaurant, I believe every 30 minutes the animals come to life and make noises and things like that. It’s fun! It’s like being in the rainforest!
I like Disneyland so much better for smaller kids, because if you stay at an actual Disney Hotel, you can literally walk to Everything! Which saves money, gas, etc! If your little ones are ready for a nap you can just walk back to your room and put them to sleep. You don’t have to hop in a car to go here and there. (Unless you want to) I would definitely save Disneyworld for the bigger kids.
