Hey guys! These sure are crazy times we are living in right? So much has happened this year. We made it to November and how we did is a blessing, but with everything going on it can really weigh on the mind. Everytime something huge happened I could feel myself feeling different and my mood changing. My stress level also went up. So when that happens I did what lowered my stress and helped make me feel better. Here are 8 ways to help with stress.
Music – I have enjoyed music for as long as I can remember and when I’m feeling down I put on my favorite songs to help with my mood.
Writing – Writing is a good outlet for getting how you feel out. Write about what’s frustrating you or journal about the things you are thankful for.
Cleaning – Such a huge stress reliever. When my anxiety get bad, I get to cleaning. Many people that I know do the same. Going from room to room and carrying things and scrubbing can release endorphins helping you blow off steam.
Exercise – Very important with or without stress, it’s a good way to stay in shape and help you battle stress.
Reduce Your Caffeine Intake – Caffeine is a stimulant and high doses may increase anxiety. If you notice that it makes you feel different cut back.
Spend Time With Family – Due to covid this is super hard at the moment but with technology, you have zoom and facetime. Call and chat with them as much as you can. Studies show that people with social connections are more prone to anxiety and depression.
Laugh – Laughter has always been my favorite medicine. I put on my favorite funny movies or comedy specials.
Meditate – Meditation is great for so many things, such as anxiety, high blood pressure, and depression. I definitely should do it more but when I do I really enjoy it and it makes me feel so much better.
I hope this post really helps. What are some ways that you deal with stress? Sound off in the comments.
