In this video I explain everything you need to know about the Secrets Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I talk about the restaurants, entertainment, and atmosphere. I also included footage. Enjoy!
Jamaica Vacation Day 2
This day was Anthony’s birthday so we did whatever he wanted to do. We started off with breakfast at the world cafe. I got ackee and saltfish. My favorite Jamaican dish. It’s so yummy. I also got fruit as well.
After breakfast, we hit the gym, then played pool. I really like that there is so much to do on the resort. It’s perfect if you don’t want to venture out and would just like to chill and hang out at the resort during your stay. Everyday there is a different activity.
After we played pool we showered and headed to one of my favorite spots which is the beach! Listening to the waves while you read a book is so relaxing.
So after we spent time at the beach, we got hungry, so we headed over to grab lunch. They have a pasta station at the World Cafe which was our go to for lunch. I got a white sauce pasta with veggies and a Bob Marley to wash it down.
After lunch we headed back to the beach for a little while then off to the jacuzzi before going back to the room to get ready for dinner.
For dinner the boo wanted to try out the rooftop bar over at Breathless. It’s called Altitude. To get there we had to walk over by the St. James preferred side and go across the walkway to get there. Breathless is an updated more modern style resort. There we were greeted by Rick James, he is kinda like the hype man. He does a great job. The food at Altitude was just okay, but the drinks at the bar and the entertainment was so much fun! Anthony enjoyed his birthday for sure!
Tip#1 : Tipping is not required but it is very much appreciate. Everyone that works here does a great job and they work hard.
Tip #2 The earlier you ge to a restaurant the better. We didn’t really have a wait but things move a lot faster.
Jamaica Vacation Day 1
Hey there beautiful people! I wanted to do day by day blog posts of my wonderful stay in Jamaica.
We had a long day of flying so I was really happy to finally sit down in the Club Mobay arrival lounge. Here we waited for our transportation and enjoyed a nice rum punch.
Once we arrived at our resort which was Secrets Wild Orchid I was very excited. We were greeted with cold towels and a rum punch to sip during check in.
Our room wasn’t ready so we went on over to Oceana ,and had a quick lunch, because we were starving. When we were done with lunch our room was ready so we headed up to our room.
The Wild Orchid Preferred room has a tub on the balcony which is great to soak in during sunsets. (Room Tour post will be coming soon.) It felt so good to get settled and shower.
We were tired from travel so we had a quick dinner at Portofino which is the Italian restaurant. I got a seafood pasta in red sauce which was so good!
After dinner we stopped by the nightly entertainment, where the house band called Pace was singing. The main singer has the prettiest voice and they sing everything from old school to new school, reggae, and pop. I love it!
After the entertainment we we back to the room and we were in for the night. We hit the sheets ready to start a new day.
Jam West Motorsports & Adventure Park Review
Hey everyone! Here is my review for my excursion that I went to when I stayed in Jamaica a few weeks ago.
We stayed at Secrets Wild Orchid which is in Montego Bay so we had an hour and a half ride there. You can pick and choose the type of packages you would like to do which include, ATV, zipline, safari, and horseback riding. They also have a free mineral bath.
We chose the ATV zipline package. Our tour guides were super fun and energetic! I was a little nervous to do the zipline because we were up so high but it was an amazing experience. We ziplined from 8 different towers. They tell you not to take your camera or bring your phone. They do have people who take your picture on the zipline and atv.
Atv was so much fun! It rained the night before and was also raining a little during so it was muddy. We went through a tunnel and once we did that we stopped by the sea and just took it all in. It was so beautiful!
Once we were done with everything we had lunch. I got fish fingers with fries and fried bammy. It was so good! I also got a Ting to help wash it all down.
At the end we stopped at Rick’s Cafe to see the sunset which was so beautiful. We only got to spend 20 minutes there which is definitely not enough.
I would definitely recommend this excursion. It’s lots of fun!
Sea World is One Best Places to Visit in Orlando
We went to Sea World for spring break last March and the kids had a blast!
SeaWorld Orlando is a theme park and marine zoological park, in Orlando, Florida. They have roller coasters, rides, and if you have toddlers, Sesame Street land is now open! It’s perfect for a family vacation.
Seaworld is also a certified Autism center. SeaWorld Orlando has partnered with The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, to offer specialized services to guests with autism and other special needs. My oldest is autistic and I wish we would have known about this to take advantage of it. Hopefully next time.
The kids had a blast! They rode roller coasters and saw lots of fish. They even had a toddler area, which was perfect for my little one.
There are many places to eat as well which is nice because y’all know kids always wanna eat. LOL They no longer carry plastic straws or bags to help keep the animals safe, just FYI. Also make sure you download the park app so you can view the map and get familiar with SeaWorld and what will be happening that day.
Seaworld is a lot of fun and if you are in Orlando I would recommend that you go check it out.
