So the very first flight I took, I was so unprepared. I didn’t take any snacks or electronics. I had no idea of what to bring to keep me occupied. I was just clueless.
Flying for long hours can be draining, tiring and boring. So I put together a list of things to help, whether you’re flying for the first time, or been flying for years, and need more info.
Here are some tips to get you through long flights.
Bring Layers – I always take a jacket with me because the airport and the plane can be chilly. You can bring a blanket too.
Get a great seat – Get a seat where you know you will be comfortable. One year I didn’t know that I could choose or change my seat and sat right next to the bathroom. Yuck.
Bring a book – If you are like me and can never sleep on a flight, a good book will get you through.
Entertainment – So if you have Netflix, you can download movies and episodes from t.v. shows to the device of you choice. Again since I can never sleep lol on the plane this kept me entertained. I just downloaded movies to my iphone. I think you can do this with Amazon Video too.
Bring Snacks – We know the snacks and food on the plane aren’t cheap, so bringing your own can save $$ I always bring something salty and something sweet. A little bit of both never hurt right?
Be Safe – You never know what kinds of germs are on the plane. I always bring hand sanitizer and clorox travel wipes to wipe down the area I will be sitting in. Better safe than sorry.
Have a big bottle of water handy – It’s never a bad thing staying hydrated.
Moisturize – Have lip balm and lotion on deck. The atmosphere on a plane can be drying.
Dress Comfortably – I wear loose fitted clothing and comfy shoes. I couldn’t imagine wearing the tightest jeans for a long flight.
Charge Your Electronics – Nothing sucks more than your phone dying before you even reach your destination. Making sure you charge before your flight can prevent that. Some planes have USB ports so you can charge on the plane.
Get Up and Stretch – Don’t be afraid to get up and move around, loosen up those limbs, and get your blood flowing. Your body will thank you!
Sleep – Last but not least, if you can rest those eyes.
What are some things you do to get through a long flight? Thank you so much for stopping by.
